This boxfish was spotted at the base of a pilon 100m from shore in 3m of water at Rye Pier on Sat 30th Nov 2019 during surveying for The Great Victorian Fish Count.

About this species
A boxfish with a concave snout and a high arched back. Males and females differ in colour – males are orange with a few white bands on the body. In females and juveniles, the white bands are outlined in black. Read more…
