What's been spotted lately around the country?

This sighting has been reviewed and verified by John Pogonoski, Ichthyologist at the Australian National Fish Collection at CSIRO. This species is known from southern WA east to Victoria but this appears to be the first record from Tasmania. A very distinctive fish with spinules all over the body and illicium (rod just above mouth) but this species lacks a lure at the end of the illicium.
