About this species

Golden snapper are typically a yellow colour with a bronze/silvery sheen, and a whiter colour on the belly. They have a big black blotch on their side, situated towards the upper rear. In the middle of each individual scale there is a reddish-brown spot, this gives the overall appearance that there is a series of horizontal lines on the side of their bodies. Read more…
