About this species

There are two colour forms of this goatfish. One grey and one bright yellow. Both forms have a bright yellow marking at the rear of the dorsal fin. In the yellow form this is harder to distinguish. Barbels are a lighter version of the body colour. In larger fish, thin blue lines are apparent surrounding the eye. Read more…
