Chaetodontoplus personifer, yellow tail angel collected 30.3.2009 within 5 km of Fremantle. does not have the black bar in the tail that is often used to differentiate C. personifer from C. meridithi the Queensland yellowtail angel. We find that many of the small examples we collect lack the black bar.
